SOEM was the pioneer society established in the field of occupational and environmental health with a clear purpose to advance the practice of occupational and environmental medicine and to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of workers in Malaysia. Many of the Occupational Health Practitioners in positions to make a difference in the field have at one time either held office or been an active member of SOEM working closely with relevant organizations and making their mark in society.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"chairperson-text\">\nOver the years, the Society has grown into a respected professional body through the dedication of its members and the trust of our partners. We take pride in our contributions to education, training, and advocacy in occupational health. Through close collaboration with key stakeholders, we have supported the development of competent practitioners and promoted safer, healthier workplaces across diverse industries.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"chairperson-text\">\nLooking ahead, the challenges facing occupational and environmental health are becoming increasingly complex. Rapid industrial change, new technologies, environmental concerns, and evolving work patterns demand a proactive and innovative approach. SOEM is committed to leading this transformation by strengthening professional standards, improving competencies, encouraging research, and fostering collaboration at both national and international levels.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"chairperson-text\">\nI invite medical practitioners, occupational health professionals, industry leaders, and all stakeholders to engage with the Society, participate in our activities, and contribute to our shared mission.
